                From The Presiding Elder’s Desk

To the members of the Kentucky Annual Conference:

Grace be to you and peace from the Father and from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and praise God for your work and support at our 137th Session.  Rev. Sweat and the dear members of St. James left no stones unturned in providing leadership and comfort in hosting this session.

I also wanted to thank and congratulate the 'new' leadership of our Lay Organization of the Lexington District.  I want our former president, Brother Gooch to know how much I appreciate him; and our new president, Sister Sullivan, how much I look forward to working with her.

The planning meeting for the Lexington District will be Saturday, November 13, 2004, 9:30 AM, at St. Peter AME Church, Harrodsburg, Kentucky.  The Reverend Ralph B. Smith is the pastor.  The agenda will follow soon.  I want to see everybody in Harrodsburg on November 13th.
